The fresh start of a new year has always been the time that I start to dive into more organized cleaning routines again. There are things I have ignored for a while that are finally getting attention and it feels SO good. (Like dusting ceilings!)
When we were living in our apartment, I taught violin and piano lessons every day and liked to have things put away and cleaned up before anyone came over. It was easier before kids (I dusted our living room every day!) and definitely don't have time for that with 3 kids now, but I made this cleaning checklist then so that I could tidy up our home as quickly as possible. In our house, my students don't see our main living area typically, but I still enjoy having a tidy home when possible!
Now that we are finally in a house, I have learned that upkeep is EVERYTHING when keeping up with all the housework. If I leave all the chores for one day, it just doesn't get done by the end of the week. Having a list for what I should accomplish before the end of the week helps avoid the literal pileup of work.
So, here is my list. Our space has changed since our apartment, but the chores haven't really, so I think this really could work for anyone in any space.
Another tip --> to save time and paper, print the list, put it in a clear plastic sheet protector or a cute frame and use a dry erase marker to use and re-use the same list. I like keeping my list in a place I see often in case I have a few minutes to check something off the list.

Do you have any additional chores you would add to your list? I would love to know. Leave your additions in the comments!
